VillageDirect.Org online and offline strategies are designed to leverage the power of information and communication technologies, and make use of market based tools to scale-up and deliver more economic development services to more people then are currently being served.

Through the Community Development Venture Capital Fund of Funds and the Private Operating Foundation underdevelopment; new avenues for development capital will be made available for projects developers without access to funding through traditional sources of donations, official development aid, grants, and micro-finance. Networking opportunities will be created for communities to connect, become culturally aware, and build social capital needed for development.

The Community Development Venture Capital Fund of Funds will employ the business building power of equity and near-equity investments for poverty reduction and economic development; by infusing investment capital and entrepreneurial expertise into the wealth of ingenuity and innovation in communities where traditional investment capital fail to flow. The funds will promote enterprise as the solution for sustainable development and economic empowerment.

Revenues earned from VillageDirect.Org online and offline strategies, and profits from the Community Development Venture Capital Fund of Funds; will enable, the Private Operating Foundation will develop and enhance educational institutions, healthcare delivery, social services, museums, zoos, research facilities, libraries and other cultural institutions in it's partners communities. In addition to contributions; direct involvement by donors are encouraged and welcome in all activities of the foundation.
